President-elect Donald Trump is set to be inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States on Monday (January 20).

Trump announced on Friday (January 17) that Monday's inauguration and speeches will be held indoors in the US Capitol Rotunda due to the expected freezing weather. Capitol One Arena in Washington will host a live viewing of the ceremony and parade.

“All other events will remain the same,” Trump said in a statement.

Here's everything else you need to know about Trump's inauguration.

Trump is set to be sworn in at 12:00 p.m. ET on Monday, which also marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day. At this time, the incoming president will recite the 35-word oath of office, administered by Chief Justice John Roberts, with his hand on a Bible.

“I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States," the oath reads.

Prior to Trump being sworn in, various speeches are set to be held beginning at 11:30 a.m. ET. Sen. JD Vance, the incoming vice president, will also be sworn in moments before Trump.

The president-elect is then slated to give his inaugural address. According to reports, Trump is expected to talk about policy initiatives he's promised to enact on day one of taking office, including closing the border, launching mass deportations, and pardoning January 6 insurrectionists.

The inauguration guest list includes TikTok’s CEO Shou Zi Chew, Meta’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos, and the X and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. All living former presidents, including Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George W Bush, and soon-to-be Joe Biden, are expected to attend the event alongside their wives with the exception of Michelle Obama, who reportedly declined to appear at Trump's inauguration.

Trump's team also invited several foreign leaders including, China’s President Xi Jinping, El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and Argentina’s President Javier Milei.

Prior to the event being moved indoors, U.S. Capitol police expected roughly 250,000 guests who bought tickets to the events and thousands of protestors. Other celebrity guests include Jake and Logan Paul, Theo Von, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, and Megyn Kelly.

Monday's event will follow a Saturday (January 18) kickoff reception and fireworks at Trump's Virginia golf club. A cabinet reception and vice president's dinner is also slated for Saturday. On Sunday (January 19), a wreath-laying ceremony will be held at Arlington National Cemetery's tomb of the unknown soldier along with a "victory rally" at Capitol One Arena and a candlelight dinner.

Inauguration Day kicks off with a morning church service at St John’s, which is followed by the traditional tea with the Bidens at the White House. Following the swearing-in ceremony at noon, Trump is set to engage in his first official acts in the President’s Room at the Capitol, attend a congressional luncheon, review the troops on the east front steps, and lead a procession of ceremonial military regiments and marching bands. Monday's festivities end with an Oval Office signing ceremony and Trump speaking at three inaugural balls, including the Commander in Chief Ball for military service members, the Liberty Ball for the president-elect's supporters, and the Starlight Ball for high-dollar donors.

Several musical guests are slated to perform throughout the weekend including Carrie Underwood and Lee Greenwood, who are performing at the swearing-in ceremony. Classical vocalist Christopher Macchio will sing the national anthem. Jason Aldean and Village People will perform at the Liberty Ball, Rascal Flatts at the Commander in Chief Ball, and Gavin DeGraw at the Starlight Ball.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Kid Rock are also set to perform at Sunday’s rally.

The inauguration festivities will conclude on Tuesday (January 21) with a national prayer service.
