Dallas realtor and former Bachelor contestant Onyeka Ehie has gone viral on TikTok after sharing a 25-part series detailing how her ex-husband conned her.
In the viral TikTok series, dubbed "The Danish Deception," Ehie revealed details behind her three-year relationship and whirlwind marriage to Martin Fredsgaard Andersen, whom she initially announced her breakup with in September.
Ehie said their romance started like a Netflix rom-com. During a 2022 trip to Europe, the former reality TV contestant met Andersen, who introduced himself as a former Olympian, a member of the Danish royal family, and a high-level tech professional.
The couple's romance began to unravel when Ehie said she started giving Andersen cash to cover a string of “temporary” financial emergencies. The loans piled up, eventually totaling more than $30,000, as he traveled internationally despite claiming he was broke.
After marrying him and bringing him to Dallas, Ehie discovered Andersen had a severe gambling addiction and had allegedly taken money from her family as well, including thousands from her parents and sister. Ehie said one of her friends lost $300,000 in cryptocurrency to him.
Ehie concluded the series by revealing that her divorce was finalized earlier this month.
The Bachelor alum's videos garnered thousands of views and comments, with social media users calling for Ehie's story to be picked up by Netflix and comparing her situation to Reesa Teesa’s 2024 breakout series “Who TF Did I Marry?” Some users even tagged streaming platforms and filmmakers such as Tyler Perry and Will Packer as they pushed for a docuseries similar to The Tinder Swindler to be produced.
However, Ehie said her goal with sharing the videos wasn't fame, but prevention. Ehie said multiple people who were allegedly conned by Andersen have already contacted her, and she’s working to gather their accounts in hopes of launching a formal investigation.
“I never thought I would fall victim to something like this,” she said in her latest TikTok. “I want to protect other people. This man is a professional international con artist… I’m just happy that I can do my part to protect other people.”
