A line of showers and thunderstorms with possible high winds and hail are moving into the Roanoke and Lynchburg areas this afternoon.
ABC 13 - WSET Meteorologist Thomas Battle tells us more:
We're expecting showers and thunderstorms as we get into Monday afternoon and evening, with some of them being strong to severe storms.
Storms will bubble up in the afternoon through about 8:00 pm, and some storms may have rotation. The primary source of severe weather is expected to be high winds.
Whatever storms develop will fall apart as we get past sunset and the storms move east. The lows will be cooler too as we drop back to the 40s as the cooler air moves back in.
