NBA superstar Anthony Edwards is going viral over his confident exchange with former President Barack Obama.
In a clip from Netflix's new series Court of Gold, Edwards was speaking with Obama and Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid at the Team USA 50th Anniversary event in Las Vegas last year when he made a bold proclamation about his game.
"He can hoop a little bit, huh?" Obama asked Embiid about Edwards' game.
The Minnesota Timberwolves star quickly interrupted the conversation, correcting the president.
"Man, y'all better stand down. I'm the truth!!" Edwards said.
Seemingly caught off-guard by Edwards' bold statement, Obama repeated the declaration, saying "You said you're the truth, yeah??"
Edwards' doubled down on his sentiment, responding "These boys know."
The former president then turned to LeBron James to confirm if Edwards was actually about "the truth."
James and Kevin Durant backed Edwards' statement to the president, saying he was the real deal.
The conversation went viral following the release of Netflix's Court of Gold, which chronicles Team USA's gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
