From ABC13 - WSET Chief Meteorologist George Flickinger:

The counties within the Winter Storm Warning (Lynchburg area and east) are where snow totals near or over 4" are expected.

For Roanoke and areas to the west, the Winter Weather Advisory equals 1" to 3" amounts.

The Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories begin Wednesday morning and continue into Thursday morning.

Highest Virginia totals will be east of Richmond to Hampton Roads.

This will be a "dry" snow, which accumulates more slowly than wet snow. Also, no freezing rain! Just snow.
