UPDATE: TICKETS FOR THE CENTRAL VIRGINIA ST. JUDE DREAM HOME HAVE SOLD OUT FOR 2024!
Local sponsors of the 2024 Central Virginia St. Jude Dream Home gathered at the house on Elmwood Ave. in Lynchburg to participate in the traditional floor signing ceremony.
When a St. Jude Dream Home is built, a bare sub-floor in the home is signed, offering well wishes for the future homeowners to discover years from now when the floors are pulled up and replaced.
Representatives of the sponsors, including the builder, Custom Structures, Brown's Heating and Air, ABC 13- WSET, New Country 107.9 YYD and more, not only used Sharpies to inscribe their well wishes, but this year, the participants donned gloves, painted their hands in bright colors, and left their handprints for good luck!
This year's Central Virginia St. Jude Dream Home is being built in the newly developed Blackwater Run community on Elmwood Ave. in the Rivermont area of Lynchburg.
The 2400 sq. ft., two-story home has 3 bedrooms (including a main level master suite), 2.5 baths, a spacious 2-car garage, lovely outdoor patio space, and more great amenities.
The home's estimated value is $520,000.

Last year's tickets sold out in eight days and raised $1.2 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for patient treatment and research in childhood cancers.
