One In Four Pet Owners Trying To Turn Their Pets Into Social Media Stars

A new survey of 2k dog and cat owners shows that one in four pet owners are hoping to turn their pet into a social media star. Many of the people that participated in the survey said their pet’s profile already had more followers than their personal page with an average count of 925 fans.

Aside from showing off their furry friend, what’s the motivation? Loni Edwards, author and founder of the Dog Agency, says that top pet influencers are making $15k per post or more, pointing out that the net worth of Grumpy Cat reached an estimated $100 million.
