Will Smith delivered the smack heard around the world. For those of you under a rock, without a phone, and completely off the grid, Chris Rockmade a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith that neither she nor Will liked.
Chris said that Jada would be appearing in the next “G.I. Jane” movie, a clear reference to her haircut. When the camera cut to her, she didn’t look pleased. Next thing we knew, Will stormed the stage and slapped the comedian. Chris was like, “Wow, Will Smith just smacked the s—t out of me,” and tried to defend his joke. Will was NOT having it. While you couldn’t hear what he said, you could read his lips when he said, “Keep my wife’s name out your f—king mouth.” Chris still managed to get the last word when he said, “That was the greatest night in the history of television.” For the record, Chris declined to press charges, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Here’s the backstory…Jada has been vocal about suffering from alopecia, an autoimmune disease that attacks the hair follicles resulting in hair loss. As we told you, she’s finally embracing the condition versus trying to hide it.
- Later, Will won the Oscar for his portrayal of Richard Williams – Venus and Serena’s father – in “King Richard.” One of the things he said in his acceptance speech was how Richard defended his family. He also mentioned that love will make you do crazy things as he apologized for his actions. Click here to see Twitter reactions to what went down.
