Saweetie and Doja Cat, name a better duo.
With the release of their new collaboration, titled "Best Friend," the two hitmakers proved they're besties IRL. Kicking off 2021 with what will undoubtedly be the first anthem of the new year, the real-life gal pals accompanied the sassy banger with an equally spicy music video.
The three-minute visual shows Doja and Saweetie wearing several ensembles, including colorful rhinestone bikinis in the opening skit and blue and pink slumber party outfits while playing hand games. Other scenes show the ladies showing tons of skin and cleavage in flashy, seductive outfits — from Saweetie’s revealing silver chain getup to Doja’s booty-baring navy blue piece — before the clip ends with the friends jumping naked from a cliff.
“That my best friend, she a real bad b—h/ Got her own money, she don't need no nig’/ On the dance floor, she had two, three drinks/ Now she twerkin', she throw it out and come back in,” Doja opens the track before passing it over to Saweetie, who raps, “That's my best friend, she a real bad b—h/ Drive her own car, she don't need no Lyft/ In the strip club, know my girl gon' tip/ Now she twerkin', she throw it out and come back in.”
"Best Friend" is Saweetie and Doja's first collaboration together and appears on the former's forthcoming debut studio album, Pretty Bitch Music. The song follows the Cali native's previously-released joint, "Back to the Streets," featuring Jhene Aiko.
